It’s Not Always the Sales Page!

You’ve launched your sales page and you are driving
traffic right to its doorstep, but the sales just aren’t
coming in the way you had anticipated.

Things are not performing as planned so you naturally turn
your attention back to the sales page, looking for ways to
improve it.

You change the header. You adjust the headline. You alter
the color scheme. You add another six “p.s.’s” Nothing
seems to be making a difference in terms of conversions.

You read and re-read the sales copy repeatedly. You make
edit after edit, hoping to stumble upon the fix for this
disappointing situation.

Adjusting and tweaking your sales page is a great idea. In
fact, making smart modifications and carefully testing them
might turn what appears to be a loser into an impressive
money-maker.

However, there are times when the problem isn’t the sales
page. All of the tweaking and adjusting of copy won’t fix a
thing when that’s the case.

The trick is knowing when your copy is at fault and when
something else is afoot. How can you tell when the problem
is the sales page and when it lies elsewhere?

First, look at your traffic. Who is coming to your page
and are they “the right people.”

You need to be sure you are sending targeted visitors to
the page and not just those who might be vaguely interested
in your product. If you are running a pay-per-click
campaign, that is going to require returning to your
keyword research and digging deep for answers.

If you are primarily marketing via your list, you’ll need
to carefully consider whether list members are really pre-
qualified for this particular offer. Often, tapping into
different traffic stream can make all of the difference in
the world.

Second, look at the competition. Is there someone out
there who is doing a better job selling the same product or
a similar product?

Might your problem be a matter of needing to be more
competitive in terms of price, bonuses or some other factor?

If you are up against an army of tough competitors, you
may have to find a way to make your page even stronger or
some other means by which to regain an edge.

Third, consider the product. Revisit your market research,
look at other similar products and decide whether or not
you are really bringing anything new to the marketplace. If
you are, make sure you are clearly illustrating what sets
your offer apart from the others.

Top marketers will tell you that a good salesperson can
successfully move any product, but the reality is that
sales are more plentiful when you have targeted a real need
among consumers.

Take a good look at some of the factors beyond your sales
page. They may inform you about why things are not going as
well as expected.

In some cases, you may learn your project’s shortcomings
have nothing to do with your sales page at all. In other
cases, you may be able to use an off-page investigation to
find ways to adjust your offer and tactics for more success.

How Do I Start Blogging Now?

This is the question that many people ask every day, especially after seeing the tons of blogs out there on the internet that are successful, interesting, rank highly on the search engines and that are making a ton of money from doing it. Blogging started out as a way to speak out, to express yourself and was simply a tool to use for personal benefits. It is almost like a diary for many people. There are also those people that have taken blogging to the next level and actually use their personal stories, ideas, passions and writing skills to make money for themselves.

So how can you do the same?

Here are 3 simplest ways any one can start blogging, even if he has no blog at all.

1. Credibility - Well, you should get a guide written by a successful blogger. In short, you should learn from those who walk the talk. The ebook by these successful bloggers will gives you accurate information about how to start blogging and how to set up your blog successfully, and it will also list step by step instructions for everything you need to do to make it work for you and make a lot of money from it. Because a successful blogger, being successful, will know the amount of help a newbie blogger will need to start blogging.

2. Simplicity - The blogging guide will need to be realistic and useful with no complicated wording or difficult to understand jargon and technicalities. It has to be straight forward and very easy to follow and all of this will help you to make money in a very short space of time. So many people scour the internet for various money making schemes and quick fix options, when you can just make money from writing a blog about something you love. It can even be about you and as long as you market it correctly and as long as you keep it interesting and fresh, you will soon attract a large database of people who will therefore attract advertisers to your website.

3. Accessibility - This is only the start of it and as you can imagine there are hundreds of models and options that you can use to get people to access and advertise on your website, as well as being able to be found on various other people’s websites through links. Now, instead of just telling you what I have just told you, a good blogging guide author should go into detail about each aspect and tell you the exact websites you will need to go to for the maximum advantage. I feel a sensitive author will spend all the time finding the best ones and weeding out the bad ones to give you a couple of the top websites that will work for you when you start blogging.

So if you are still asking, “how do I start blogging” then you know that the best thing to do is to get a credible and simple blogging guide and you can get started right away without ever worrying about it not working. If you follow the methods as explained it will definitely answer your question on “how do I start blogging”.

If You Want The Money, Go Get It!

Product Review of:

Gimme My Money Now!

Review by Robert G. Gardner, Ph.D

I’m sure no one ever accused Marlon Sanders of being subtle. But then again, subtle “don’t feed the bulldog!” Gimme My Money Now! is the perfect title for this e-book. The words underscore the urgency of the information contained in Marlon’s quick-hit, 10-step winning formula for selling products through an automated web site. And they light a fire under your butt to act on this information. Now! Action, Marlon reminds us, is what makes money.

Building on the success of his Amazing Formula arsenal of simple, yet powerful secrets for selling on the Internet, Marlon covers even more ground with this tightly constructed plan for selling products on the web.

He wastes no time getting started. You’re told to come up with at least 12 product ideas that people want. (You learn not to ask “Why?” when Marlon tells you to do something. You just do it, because you know it’s GOAL directed. It will produce RESULTS.) Then, using his quick and easy method, he shows you how to survey, or test, these ideas until you come up with the one “killer” product that you will advertise, sell, and deliver through your web site. And he even tells you everything you need to know to register your own unique domain name and set up the site! This is solid money-making advice from start to finish.

And it just gets better. The information on conducting web-based product surveys alone is worth your time and money. In clear, easy-to-follow instructions, complete with illustrations, Marlon explains that the only way you’re going to be successful in online marketing is to let people tell you what they want to buy. And then you sell it to them through your one-page web site! You then get a first-class tutorial in the finer points of web-based surveys. Plus, he hands you the tools, resources, examples, and templates to put your project in gear. This plug-and-play advice is beautiful in its simplicity, yet very thorough in its content.

Again, the title of this e-book is a real clue to its theme and message. Every step in the plan is an action that’s designed to produce clear, measurable results. And, like every other value-packed component in Marlon’s Amazing Formula, this strategy for web-site marketing boils down to a science that provides tips for repeatable success. Marketers at all levels of experience and expertise can benefit from his real-world wisdom.

Read this e-book if you’re at all serious about putting an Internet sales plan in motion. For that matter, read it if you’re only looking to rev-up the revenue potential of your current web site. Or if you want to fine-tune a digital product that you know should be making you more money. It’s time well spent, indeed.

So, if you’re looking for a better, smarter way to get your (web sales) money now, try this amazing game plan. Your customers will be more likely to give you their money after you’ve converted Marlon’s formula into action.

How to Effectively Use Testimonials to Improve Sales!

Testimonials are one of the most powerful, cheap and easy-to-use marketing tools available and if you’re not using them you’re missing out on potential sales.

Regardless of what stage you’re at in building your business you need to focus on establishing credibility with your visitors. Doing this builds trust, which in turn creates profits.

Think about it. Most of us need proof that something works and would be more inclined to make a purchase based on this rather than relying on a sales pitch alone.

Using complimentary, fact-filled testimonials on your website from satisfied customers is one of the most effective ways to let your visitors know that your product will actually do what it says it will.

So, how do you get testimonials?

If your customers have already given you positive feedback on your product, simple ask permission to add these to your site.

If you’re just starting out getting testimonials from happy customers will take a little more effort.

One easy way to collect testimonials is to include a link on your site with a form that allows your customers to give you their vote of confidence.

Basically give them a chance to share their experiences with your product or service.

A more effective method is to create an autoresponder that contacts your buyers after they’ve purchased your product - even a month later - to ask how they’re enjoying the product, as well as giving them a chance to offer feedback on their experience with your business.

If you receive a great letter or e-mail from a happy customer, ask them if you can use their comments on your website to recommend your product to others.

In return you should include their website link in the testimonial. This way there is a benefit to them as well.

If you haven’t yet begun selling your product and have no feedback yet, offer your product or service for free to a select group of customers in exchange for their thoughts on the product or some details on their experience with your site.

Once you’ve got some testimonials to share with your visitors, you need to make sure that you’re putting them to the best possible use on your site.

You can do this by make sure that you…

- Include your best testimonials on the most prominent positions in your main sales page, such as in the top fold or the side bars.

- Place some testimonials right in the middle of your homepage to keep your readers focused on your credibility as you outline the best benefits of your product or service

- Set up a separate page that is totally dedicated to your testimonials, as well as including snippets of their comments throughout your site. Be sure to put a link to your testimonial page next to each of those snippets!

- Don’t edit your testimonials to exclude a comment or add information you want to hear. If you’re not comfortable with using the comments as they are, then you need to ask yourself whether the testimonial is suited to your site.

- Never use a customer testimonial without permission.

But above all, never invent testimonials. This is fraud. There’s just no good way to say it. Lying just to get a sale will undermine your credibility and it will result in destroying your business.

How You Can Avoid Marketing Scams!

The Internet has helped up change so many aspects of our lives. We can study and work from home with the help of a computer and high speed Internet access.

However there are many scammers out there ready to take either your money or your work to use for their benefit. And unfortunately, these scammers have made their way into the world of affiliate marketing as well.

Listen, there are some excellent affiliate marketing programs to get involved with - the trick is how to spot the scammers.

The face and manner of the Internet and affiliate marketing is constantly changing. This makes it very difficult to produce a definitive list of do’s and don’ts.

However there are some signs that you can look for.

If the company you are considering displays any of these signs it does not mean they are scammers, however you may need to carry out further investigation.

An affiliate marketing program should always provide you with some support. This can include a person that you can contact with questions or problems.

A legitimate company should want you to do well. The better you do the better they do. It should at very least contain a support web page, an email address and a fixed street address.

If the company has an online affiliate marketing program, the lack of an email or web page should definitely raise some red flags.

A good test is to send the company an email with some basic questions. If it takes them weeks to get back to you then you need to give this venture careful consideration.

Again, they may not be out to con you but if they are poor at communication this could be a sign of other internal problems.

Legitimate affiliate marketing programs generally have a detailed website with all the information you need. You should be suspicious of anyone that operate only by email.

A website is fairly easy to create so why hasn’t this company invested the time to do so?

Many of us would love the opportunity to work for ourselves. We would love to chuck in the day job and start our own online business.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make some money by working for yourself. The costs and the risks are minimal. You do need to use some caution when signing onto a program.

So in summary…

- Make sure there is adequate support available to you.
- Make sure the company is easily contacted and that they answer queries in a timely fashion.
- Be incredibly cautious of companies that have no website.
- These factors do not always mean that the company is out to scam you, however they should be looked at carefully.
